Create useful drafts without losing your voice
Use AI for options while retaining originality, accuracy and editorial control.
Understand
Use generation to explore several possibilities, not to accept the first polished answer. Name the audience, purpose and tone. For an invitation, a warm tone may help; for a service update, clarity and restraint matter more. Ask for a draft you can edit, and compare it with the facts and with how you normally speak.
AI tools may handle text, images or audio; working across these formats is often called multimodal use. For an image brief, describe the communication goal, composition and accessibility needs. For audio, plan a transcript or captions. Check the actual tool’s capabilities and terms before uploading or generating anything. A caption or description produced by AI can also be wrong.
Use material you created or have permission to use. Do not ask for copies of another creator’s distinctive work, imply a real person endorsed your product, or present fabricated testimonials as genuine. AI generation does not itself establish rights to use an asset. For uncertain commercial rights, seek appropriate review rather than relying on the model’s assurance.
Try it in your life or work
Personal practice
Write two invitation openings for a fictional reading group. Keep the same facts but change the tone. Explain which you prefer and why. No invitation needs to be sent.
Business practice
Draft a short description for a fictional desk-organizing service using only: 45-minute session, remote guidance, no supplies included. Remove any unsupported claim about guaranteed results. Add an original image brief without generating or purchasing an asset.
Keep: An edited draft and a list of facts, permissions and accessibility details to check.
Use fictional or non-sensitive information. Written practice does not require an AI account. The live demos are optional; other tools have their own terms and costs.
Show the answer and explanation
Nothing by itself; tool terms and the content still need review.. Generation is not evidence of a license, consent or endorsement.
This is a self-check, not a scored certification. Answers and exercise notes are not submitted to AstraCruz.
