Protect information and consider who is affected
Set boundaries for privacy, fairness and responsible use.
Understand
Before sharing information, ask whether you are allowed to share it, whether the tool is approved for it and whether the task requires it. Removing a name may not make a record anonymous: dates, locations and unusual details can identify someone. Use fictional examples for practice and keep confidential data out of general public assistants.
Bias can enter through training data, labels, task definitions and how people interpret results. Test whether an answer makes unsupported assumptions about a person or group. Apply the same relevant criteria and review the effects on people. AI should not become an unreviewed shortcut for hiring, credit, medical or other consequential decisions.
Transparency matters. Describe what AI did and what a human checked when that distinction matters to your audience or policy. Consider who bears the risk when a tool is wrong, who can correct a record and who can challenge a decision. AI may change tasks and working practices; involve affected people rather than treating productivity as the only measure. Use your organization’s rules and appropriate specialist guidance for regulated situations.
Try it in your life or work
Personal practice
Rewrite a made-up appointment request so it contains no name, address or sensitive reason for the appointment. Identify what information the drafting task actually needs.
Business practice
Create a practice-data rule: allowed material, prohibited material, reviewer and what to do if sensitive data is included by mistake. Discuss who is affected by an incorrect reply and how they can get human help.
Keep: A short privacy and human-review checklist for your chosen task.
Use fictional or non-sensitive information. Written practice does not require an AI account. The live demos are optional; other tools have their own terms and costs.
Show the answer and explanation
No; other details may still identify the person.. Identifying combinations of details can remain after a name is removed.
This is a self-check, not a scored certification. Answers and exercise notes are not submitted to AstraCruz.
